ROSSANA WOLDMAN, L.C.S.W., ADHD-CCSP

Founder of Mindworks, Inc.

I believe in providing a safe, compassionate and nonjudgemental environment that allows clients to use their own strengths and insights to create positive and meaningful growth in their lives. Everyone has the ability to change painful experiences into resilience. Sometimes, we just need a helping hand to grab onto for guidance and support along the way.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and a certified school social worker, and received my Masters in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. I bring more than 20 years of state, school and private practice experience to my work with adolescents, teens, adults and families.

In my practice, I incorporate Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy (DNMS), and Somatic Experiencing (SE) with other modalities such as psychotherapy, family systems, mindfulness and solution focused therapy depending on the needs of my clients. I am also a Certified Clinical Service Provider (CCSP) for ADHD, and am trained in trauma resolution. A key difference between my practice and many others is that, in addition to working with adults, I have extensive experience with adolescents and teens.

When I am not working with clients, I enjoy the outdoors, performing arts, and spending time with my children and husband.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and love working with clients to tackle challenges and meet goals. I graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University-Schaumburg. I use many strategies to help my clients’ meet their goals, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Assertive Communication, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. In addition, I specialize in Trauma-Informed Care, where I am able to recognize trauma symptoms and help clients understand the role trauma may play in his or her life. I have a variety of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, and find great fulfillment in watching positive changes occur in my clients’ lives.

Whatever you are struggling with (fear, anger, anxiety, depression, low self-worth, relationship conflicts, etc), we will explore those challenges together, and gain understanding of what is really going on beneath the surface in order to create hope and movement toward a more fulfilling life. I strongly believe that we have more control over our lives than we realize, and a natural resiliency exists inside all of us. You have the power to create change. l am here to guide, truly hear you, and provide tools to help you navigate and overcome whatever life throws your way.

When I’m not providing counseling, I like to spend time with family and friends, and with my dog-child (he is the cuddliest dog I’ve ever met!). I also play guitar and write lyrics, and spend as much time in the sun as I can!
